SERGE MAHEUX                    Drummer

​​​​​Serge was born in Thetford Mines, a small town in Québec, Canada. He began playing drums at the age of 8. Serge started playing in clubs and music festivals at the age of 12.

​

Serge grew up in a very musically gifted family. His parents had their own band and played music every weekend. They also had a music store, a music school and a recording studio. His brother Richard, also made a career as a professional musician. Richard has played with Delirium for Cirque du Soleil, Rihanna and has been musical director on Rock of Ages (Broadway & national tour). He is currently touring with Enrique Iglesias.

Serge is a versatile musician. For the past 29 years, he has played many different styles of music including; rock, pop, country, fusion and jazz.

Serge studied music at the Université du Québec à  Montréal, (UQAM) where he received a bachelor in music in 2007.

​

Between the years of 2000-2005, he went out to explore the seven seas. He got the opportunity to play drums for several cruise lines such as Celebrity Cruises, Holland America Line, Princess Cruises, P&O Cruises and Crystal Cruises.

 

In 2006, Serge was giving the opportunity to join Cirque du Soleil as the drummer in their show Saltimbanco for it's South American Tour.

Based on his talents and professionalism, Serge was offered a permanent position on Saltimbanco, the Arena World Tour in 2007. He spent 6 years travelling the world.

He has performed in over 50 countries and visited 76 countries on 5 continents.
